Midwest Action Network Passes One Year Mark

The Midwest Action Network is a networking website for anarchists, anti-racists, activists and anti-authoritarians.

Post news, events, pictures, reportbacks, discussions or anything else relevant to networking in the region on our main page. Content can be repeated from other sites, though copyrighted material should be stubbed with the original source linked.

The Midwest Action Network is a complimentary resource to other sites of interest. The MAN site links to anti-authoritarian-friendly websites such as indymedia.org, infoshop.org and anarchistnews.org in an attempt to cross the gap between local and (inter-)national networking resources.

Founded by the Great Lakes Anarchist Gathering of August 19th & 20th 2006, the MAN site was created to keep the many individuals and cities of the gathering connected, informed and to create more possibilities for face-to-face interaction throughout the region.

As the year progressed and with a little chatter, the MAN site acted as a primary contact website for the second Great Lakes Anarchist Gathering of April 14th and 15th 2007 and has served to announce many other local, regional and national events, expanding viewers and participation beyond those that attended these anarchist gatherings.

If you are from the region, please consider using the Midwest Action Network as a web resource to launch your projects, events and maintain discussions relevant to them.

Also, with a certain event happening in Minneapolis next year, this will be a useful site for coordination in the region.
